Hey CW Post!
Things are going great at New Paltz. Our station signs back on February 1, 2007. Check it out at wfnp.org.
We're looking to do some podcasting next semester, so check that out too.
I love your station. I'll admit I don't listen that often, but every time I have put it on I enjoy it. Hofstra's station has too much weird programming on it. Right now, our station is playing pre-recorded stuff during the winter break. You're the only other college station that I listen to.
Keep up the great work!
I do have a question though...how is your station setup? From what I gathered, there are 3 stations? One for the Long Island University, one for your campus and a seperate webcast only station? What's the difference?

Hey Tim! So nice to hear from a fellow-college Radio-er. Our station is in the process of being simplified. But currently, it's set up like this: Webradio WCWP is our *main* station. 24/7/365 Student-Run Programming with scheduled variety (I like to call it organized chaos). Then, WCWP/88.1 FM is the frequency with which we share air-time on Long Island University's Public Radio Network. From 1 am until 10 pm, WLIU Broadcasts their programming out of Southhampton (which does not include us, at all) and then at 10 pm WCWP takes over the air waves until 1 am. This happens Monday through Friday, weekly, and occasionally on Saturdays when our Sports Department calls live Football games with Post's Football team. While our Webradio station is web-based, we treat it like a regular radio station - just heard on the web. A bit complicated, we know, but we're glad to have you nonetheless! I will definitely tune into WFNP in February! Good Luck
